Your own personal experience with the play:
I read this book by accident: I went to check out another work of the author's at my local library, which they didn't have, so I picked this up instead. I later found out that it had a live performance (directed by the author himself, no less) and was thoroughly captivated by the delivery. I organized a retelling of it with a few friends two Octobers ago, and though we weren't able to perform due to scheduling issues, the experience was a treat.
What you liked and disliked about the play:
I'd like to preface this by saying that this is less of a play and more a dramatic reading of the novella of the same name, which isn't particularly a like or dislike as much as a difference to a traditional stage production. It can certainly lend itself to a very captivating performance and makes for a great Halloween event ;) Aside from that, I'm not sure what else to say that I liked, per se, because the show itself is an experience more than anything else. I like it all.
